Tour of the Tuscan House

Categories Favorite Things

I’ve been wanting to do this post for a while. The Tuscan House in Cornelius NC is one of my absolute favorite stores. If my husband went no where else but here for every birthday, holiday and anniversary, I’d be a very happy woman. When I sit back and think about it, practically every room in my home has at least an item from this store. And typically, they’re my favorite things in the room.

The Tuscan House is a small cottage house along N. Main Street that’s been converted into a shop. Here’s the room you enter in the back of the home. The store carries a wide range of items including lighting, furniture, rugs, architectural elements, handmade jewelry, accessories and more.

One of the things I love about the store is that you can stand back and get a good sense of the larger pieces, but when you step closer, you find lots of smaller items that really add character to a room.

The items have real character. They have a ‘collected’ feel. Check out the mirror below. It’s large and fabulous!

Oooh! I didn’t even see that urn near the fireplace when I was in the other day. You know I love me some great ways to display my plants.

You can find great serving and kitchen accessories here as well. I’ve gotten stone serving platters here and use them often.

Here’s a closer look at some of my favorite things.

If you’re local and haven’t been to The Tuscan House, I hope these pictures convince you to go! The Tuscan House is at  20722 N. Main Street in Cornelius NC. Maybe I’ll see you there!

  1. What a beautiful place! My husband has a couple places here in Dallas that he’s free to buy me whatever he wants. It’s nice to have a little direction I think. I would love to shop at your beautiful shop.

I agree–a little direction never hurts 🙂 Mind sharing your favorite shop names in Dallas? My SIL and family live in the Dallas area.
